  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • rolled oats - 1 c
  • canned milk - 1/4 c
  • crushed nuts - 1/2 c
  • Cream sugar, brown sugar, margarine, and eggs

How to make oatmeal cake:

Stir in oats in water, remove from heat, cover and let stand 20 min. Cream sugar, brown sugar, margarine, and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients, nuts, and vanilla. Bake at 350°F for 30-40 min.Topping for Cake:6 Tbsp. butter1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. canned milk1/2 c. coconut1/2 c. nuts Cook over low heat till it bubbles. Spread on baked cake. Return to the oven until it bubbles again or it is golden brown.
