Ingredients/Components
- boiling water
- rolled oats - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- eggs - 2 item
- white sugar - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- raisins - 1 c
- Cream the margarine, eggs and sugars
- nuts - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour boiling water over oats and let stand. Cream the margarine, eggs and sugars. Mix all ingredients. Bake at 350° in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 35 minutes.Topping:1/2 c. milk3/4 stick margarine1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. nuts1/2 c. coconut1/2 tsp. vanilla Bring to a boil the milk, margarine and brown sugar. Add the nuts, coconut and vanilla. Spread topping on cake and put under broiler until bubbly.
