Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- margarine - 1/4 c
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- canned milk - 1/4 c
- instant oatmeal - 1 c
- Beat well
How to make oatmeal cake:
Mix margarine, oatmeal and boiling water together and let stand 20 minutes, then add eggs, white sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Beat well. Grease pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes in long pan.Icing:6 Tbsp. oleo1/2 c. brown sugar1/4 c. canned milk1 c. coconut1/2 c. nuts (optional)1/2 tsp. vanilla Heat all ingredients and spread on cake.
