- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- self-rising flour - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- whole eggs - 2 item
- Topping:1/2 stick butter
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:1/2 stick butter1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut Cake: Mix oats and boiling water; let stand 20 minutes. Cream together the butter, sugars and eggs. Mix dry ingredients together; fold into sugar mixture, then add oats. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Make topping; spread on cake.
