  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • quick-cooking oats - 1 c
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • whole eggs - 2 item
  • Let stand 20 minutes
  • cream or 1/4 c - 1/2 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Pour boiling water over oats and oleo. Let stand 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and bake at 350° until done.Topping:6 Tbsp. oleo1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. cream or 1/4 c. milk1 c. chopped nuts1 c. coconut Spread on cake and place in broiler until golden brown.
