Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- nuts - 1 c
- oatmeal - 1 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- white sugar - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- unbeaten eggs - 2 item
- Cream together white sugar, brown sugar, oleo and eggs and add to oatmeal mixture or add oatmeal to it
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream together white sugar, brown sugar, oleo and eggs and add to oatmeal mixture (or add oatmeal to it). Add dry ingredients and Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350°.Topping For Oatmeal Cake:1 stick oleo1 c. brown sugar2 eggs, well beaten1 c. coconut1 c. nuts Cook all together in heavy skillet and put on warm cake.
