  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • evaporated milk - 1 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • pecans - 1 c
  • raw oats - 1 c
  • Topping:1 stick butter or margarine

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:1 stick butter or margarine1 c. evaporated milk1 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut1 c. pecans Put margarine, oats and boiling water in bowl. Cover with plate and set aside for 20 minutes. Mix sugar, brown sugar, eggs, soda, cinnamon and flour in a large bowl. After the oat mixture has set 20 minutes; mix with the oat mixture by hand. Bake 25 minutes at 350° in long pan.

Topping: Blend butter or margarine, sugar and milk; boil 10 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Add coconut, pecans and vanilla. Stir well. Pour over cake while still in pan. Cut cake in squares.
