  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • dark brown sugar - 1 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • can coconut - 1 item
  • Pet milk - 1/4 c
  • well beaten eggs - 2 item
  • quick cook oats - 1 c
  • Let stand 20 minutes

How to make oatmeal cake:

Pour water over oats. Let stand 20 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients to oats. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.Topping:1 stick butter1 tsp. vanilla1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. Pet milk1 c. chopped nuts1 can coconut Melt butter. Add sugar, then add other ingredients. Pour over hot cake. Place under broiler for about 3 to 5 minutes. Watch that it does not burn.
