Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- dark brown sugar - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- can coconut - 1 item
- Pet milk - 1/4 c
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
- quick cook oats - 1 c
- Let stand 20 minutes
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour water over oats. Let stand 20 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients to oats. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.Topping:1 stick butter1 tsp. vanilla1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. Pet milk1 c. chopped nuts1 can coconut Melt butter. Add sugar, then add other ingredients. Pour over hot cake. Place under broiler for about 3 to 5 minutes.
