Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1/2 c
- boiling water
- self-rising flour
- margarine - 6 Tbsp
- cream
- oatmeal - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:1/4 c. cream6 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Combine boiling water, oatmeal and margarine; let set 20 minutes. In large bowl, mix remaining ingredients; then add oatmeal mixture. Mix well. Bake at 350° for 30 or 40 minutes in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.Topping: Place cream, margarine and sugar in small saucepan. Heat to boiling. Remove from heat; add vanilla, coconut and nuts. Spread on cake while still warm.
