Oatmeal bread
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3 tsp
- flour
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- vegetable oil - 1/3 c
- boiling water - 2 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- uncooked oatmeal - 1 c
How to make oatmeal bread:
Combine water, oatmeal, vegetable oil, Karo syrup and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and mix well. Blend in eggs. Add flour and mix until dough is well blended. Place dough in greased bowl and cover. Store in refrigerator at least 1 1/2 hours.On floured board, shape dough in 2 loaves. Place in greased loaf pans and cover. Let rise in warm place until double in size, about 1 hour. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
