Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- 14 sq - 1 c
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- soft butter - 1 c
- orange juice - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- Generously grease and flour 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan
- milk - 5 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- powdered sugar - 3/4 c
How to make nutty graham picnic cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Generously grease and flour 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan. In large bowl, combine all ingredients but nuts. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Add nuts; bake in prepared pan for 45 to 50 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool upright 15 minutes. Invert onto serving plate and cool completely.Glaze:2 Tbsp. brown sugar5 Tbsp. milk1 Tbsp. butter3/4 c. powdered sugar In small saucepan, heat brown sugar, milk and butter just until blended.
