Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- egg whites - 2 item
- chopped walnuts
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- Yeast Mixture:1 c
- Dough Mixture:2 sticks margarine
How to make nut roll:
Mix together and moisten with milk.Yeast Mixture:1 c. lukewarm water1 pkg. dry yeast3 tsp. sugar1 tsp. salt Mix and let set.Dough Mixture:2 sticks margarine4 c. flour2 egg yolks Add egg yolks to yeast mixture, mix yeast and dough mixture together. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Cut dough into 4 chunks. Roll on lightly floured board about 1/8 inch thick. Fill with nut mixture and roll. Let stand 20 minutes before baking. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Let cool and cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices.Recipe categories: Egg, Breads, Breakfast.
