Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- sour cream - 1 pt
- butter or margarine - 1 lb
- salt
- flour - 8 c
- egg yolks - 8 item
- baking soda
- hot water - 1/2 c
- butter, melted - 3/4 lb
- walnuts
- large cake yeast - 1 item
How to make nut roll:
Filling:2 lb. walnuts3 c. sugar2 tsp. cinnamon3/4 lb. butter, melted1/2 c. milk Mix well first 4 ingredients. Add butter; mix well. Mix yolks and sour cream. Add. Mix yeast and hot water; add. Knead dough with hands. Divide into 2 balls, wrap in Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight. Then cut into 4 sections (8 total). Roll out, add filling, roll and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Filling: In food processor, mix well the walnuts, sugar and cinnamon. Add melted butter and milk; mix well.
