- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sour milk - 2 c
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
- broken nuts your choice - 1 c
How to make nut bread:
Beat eggs and sugar thoroughly; add sour milk and beat well. Add flour sifted with salt, baking powder and soda. Stir in nuts. Bake in waxed paper-lined 5 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch loaf pan in moderate oven (350°) for 1 hour. Texture and flavor improves after 12 hours.
