No crust quiche
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 16 item
- milk - 6 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 4 c
- bacon - 1 lb
- Gruyere cheese, diced - 2 lb
How to make no crust quiche:
Saute bacon in skillet until partially cooked. Add onion and cook until onion is tender but not browned. Pour off most of the fat. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, salt, pepper and nutmeg; beat well. Add milk and blend well. Spread onion mixture in 4 pie pans or 2 (13 x 9-inch) pans. Sprinkle evenly with cheese. Pour egg mixture over cheese. Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Serves 24.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Omelets and frittatas, Savory pies.
