Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- eggs - 3 item
- pkg - 3 oz
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- can cherry pie filling - 1 oz
- margarine - 1/3 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- grated lemon rind - 1/2 tsp
How to make new york cheesecake:
Filling:3/4 c. sugar2 Tbsp. flour1 tsp. lemon juice1 tsp. grated lemon rind3 eggs2 Tbsp. milk1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened Crust: Beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in egg, juice and rind. Add flour. Mix well. Reserve 3/4 cup dough. Chill. Spread remaining dough onto bottom of a 9-inch spring-form pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool. Spread reserved dough 2-inches high around sides of pan.Topping: Combine cream cheese, sugar, flour, juice and rind, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in milk. Pour into crust. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 250° and continue to bake 40 minutes. Top with pie filling. Loosen cake from rim of pan. Cool before removing rim of pan. Chill. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
