New orleans shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 3
- oleo - 1/4 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- diced green pepper - 1/4 c
- sage - 1/8 tsp
- diced celery - 1 c
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- parsley, chopped - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- to 3 bay leaves - 2 item
- Tabasco to taste - 1 item
- 2 1/2 can tomatoes
- onion or 1 bunch green onions - 1 item
- 2 1/2 - 1 can
How to make new orleans shrimp creole:
Saute in oleo first five ingredients. Add all other ingredients. Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes. Add 1 pound deveined shrimp and 1 pound crab meat. Cook slowly 30 minutes more. Serve over cooked rice. (Makes 6 to 8 servings.)Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Shrimp.
