New england clam chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- minced onion - 1/4 c
- diced potatoes - 2 c
- diced bacon - 1/4 c
- cans minced or whole clams - 2 oz
How to make new england clam chowder:
In large skillet, cook bacon and onion until bacon is crisp and onion is tender. Drain and break bacon into small pieces. Stir in large saucepan with clam juice, potatoes and water. Cook, uncovered, until potatoes are tender (about 10 minutes). Add clams, milk and seasonings and heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
