  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • warm water - 2 c
  • bread flour
  • dry yeast - 2 pkg

How to make never fail rolls:

Dough can be used for making cinnamon rolls.

Soften yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl. Add sugar, salt and 3 cups flour. Mix by hand or electric mixer until smooth. Add shortening and eggs. Beat well again. If using mixer, beat in another cup of flour, then stir in remaining flour or enough to easily handle. Knead well and place in a well-greased bowl. Cover and set in warm place. Let rise more than double in size (2 hours or more). Shape into rolls and place in well-greased pans. Let rise 20 to 30 minutes. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes. Yield: 2 1/2 to 3 dozen rolls.
