Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 3 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening
- vinegar or lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
How to make never fail pie crust:
Combine egg, water and vinegar or lemon juice. Mix the first 5 ingredients with pastry blender, then add the liquids. Makes enough crust for 6 single or 3 double pies. Can keep in refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks. Put to room temperature before using.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
