My favorite chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients/Components

• butter, softened - 1 c
• sugar - 3/4 c
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• pkg - 12 oz
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• chopped nuts optional - 1 c
• brown sugar, firmly packed - 3/4 c

How to make my favorite chocolate chip cookies:

Preheat oven to 375°. Combine first 3 ingredients in a small bowl. Combine the next 4 ingredients in a big bowl; beat until creamy. Beat in the eggs. Gradually add the dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

For pan cookies, follow the above directions. Spread in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 20 minutes or until brown around edges and a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. "I like them with a big glass of milk!"
