Mushroom pinwheels
Ingredients/Components
- poppy seed - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 4 Tbsp
- fresh garlic, minced - 1/2 tsp
- can crescent rolls 8 count - 1 item
- fresh mushrooms 8 oz
- to 7 bacon slices, crisp and crumbled - 6 item
- cream cheese to spread - 6 oz
How to make mushroom pinwheels:
Filling:1 c. fresh mushrooms (8 oz.) sauteed in 2 to 3 Tbsp. butter6 to 7 bacon slices, crisp and crumbled1/2 tsp. fresh garlic, minced4 Tbsp. mayonnaise6 oz. cream cheese to spread Use 2 triangles of rolls to form one rectangle of dough and push on perforations. Spread 1/4 cream cheese on dough. Spread 1/4 of mushroom filling on top. Roll lengthwise and keep in refrigerator until all 4 rolls are finished. Slice into 1/2-inch pieces. Place on greased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg whites and sprinkle with poppy seed. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.Can prepare ahead of time and heat in microwave 1 to 2 minutes.
