Mushroom burger
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- onion, chopped - 1/4 c
- salt and cayenne pepper to taste - 1 item
- whole wheat bread crumbs - 1 c
- chopped, raw mushrooms - 2 c
How to make mushroom burger:
In small skillet, saute mushrooms in butter. Mix all ingredients; shape into patties. May need more crumbs. Fry in butter or on Teflon skillet.Variations: Omit salt; sprinkle each patty with Mrs. Dash or top each patty with a slice of cheese after cooking. Use as a hamburg patty. Makes 4 or 5 servings.
