Mulled cider
Ingredients/Components
- apple cider or juice - 6 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- lemon 8 slices - 1 item
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- light molasses - 2 Tbsp
- 4 to 6-inch cinnamon stick - 1 item
- whole cloves - 8 item
- whole allspice - 1/4 tsp
- orange 8 slices - 1 item
- cinnamon sticks for garnish optional - 1 item
How to make mulled cider:
Put cider, lemon juice, lemon slices, sugar, molasses, cinnamon stick, cloves and allspice in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes.Ladle into mugs and place an orange slice in each. If desired, also place a cinnamon stick in each mug.
