Mom's meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- finely crushed saltines - 2/3 c
- onions - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- rubbed sage - 1/2 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- lean ground beef
- ketchup - 1 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
How to make mom's meat loaf:
In large bowl, beat eggs. Add milk, saltines, onion, salt, sage and pepper. Add beef and mix well. Shape into an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf in an ungreased shallow baking pan. Combine remaining ingredients. Spread 3/4 cup of this over meat loaf. Bake at 350° for 60 to 65 minutes until no pink remains. Drain. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with remaining sauce.
