Ingredients/Components
- salad oil
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- grated carrots - 3 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- white Karo syrup - 1 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/3 c
How to make mom's carrot cake:
Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 tsp. soda1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup1/3 c. buttermilk Combine all ingredients for cake in a large mixing bowl. Mix well. Bake in a 9 x 13 pan at 350° for 1 1/4 hours or until done. Mix all ingredients for glaze and let cRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Pineapple.
