  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • egg - 1 item
  • ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • sifted flour - 2 c
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 sticks butter or margarine - 1 item
  • dark molasses Brer Rabbit - 1/4 c

How to make molasses sugar cookies:

Melt shortening in saucepan over low heat. Let cool. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well. Mix together flour, baking soda, salt and all of the spices. Add liquid mixture. Mix well and chill. Form 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar and place on greased c
