Molasses crumb cake
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- molasses - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk or sour milk - 1 c
- shortening Crisco or margarine - 1/2 c
- Other Ingredients:1 egg
How to make molasses crumb cake:
Other Ingredients:1 egg1 c. buttermilk or sour milk2 Tbsp. molasses Blend ingredients for crumb mixture. Remove 1/2 cup for topping. Add all other ingredients to remaining crumb mixture. Beat well. Put batter into a square pan dusted with flour. Put reserved crumbs on top.
