shortening - 3/4 c
brown sugar - 1 c
egg - 1 item
molasses
flour
salt - 1/4 tsp
soda - 2 tsp
ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
ginger - 1/2 tsp
cinnamon - 1/2 tsp

How to make molasses cookies:

Mix cloves, ginger and cinnamon together in small container. Mix all ingredients, including spices, together. Chill one hour. Shape into balls and roll in sugar. Cookies will flatten in baking. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
