  • sugar
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • molasses - 1 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • lard - 3/4 c
  • pepper - 1 tsp

How to make molasses cookies:

Mix sugar, molasses, egg, lard (can substitute thick sour cream), flour, baking soda, pepper, cloves, nutmeg and salt. Knead, roll out in a roll and put in refrigerator. Chill. Slice what you want to bake. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes.
