  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • molasses - 1/4 c
  • raisins - 1 item
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • flour more if needed - 2 c

How to make molasses cookies:

Mix sugar, cinnamon, cloves, shortening, eggs and molasses; beat well. Add flour and baking soda (if baking soda is mixed with first cup of flour, it blends better). Add flour slowly. Let dough stand in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Spoon dough onto cooki
