Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • stick margarine - 1/2 item
  • dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1/4 c
  • buttered bread crumbs - 1 c
  • frozen peas, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
  • frozen green beans, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
  • small onions, cooked or canned - 16 item

How to make mixed vegetable casserole:

Melt margarine over low heat. Blend in flour and seasonings. Remove from heat; slowly stir in milk. Mix vegetables in sauce. Turn into a buttered 8 cup casserole. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs in a ring around top; fill center with grated Cheddar cheese. Bake 30 minutes at 350°. Yield 6-8 servings.
