Mixed vegetable casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/4 c
- buttered bread crumbs - 1 c
- frozen peas, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
- frozen green beans, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
- small onions, cooked or canned - 16 item
How to make mixed vegetable casserole:
Melt margarine over low heat. Blend in flour and seasonings. Remove from heat; slowly stir in milk. Mix vegetables in sauce. Turn into a buttered 8 cup casserole. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs in a ring around top; fill center with grated Cheddar cheese. Bake 30 minutes at 350°. Yield 6-8 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Casseroles.
