Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Icing:1 stick margarine
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Icing:1 stick margarine1/3 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla3 Tbsp. cocoa1 box powdered sugar Combine margarine, Crisco, cocoa and water in a saucepan. Heat until melted and then add sugar and flour. In separate bowl, combine eggs, vanilla, buttermilk and soda. Combine both mixtures and stir well. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes. Before pouring icing on cake, place mini marshmallows on top of hot cake.Combine icing ingredients in saucepan over low heat. Pour over cake.
