Mississippi mud cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- flour
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- unsweetened cocoa powder - 1/3 c
- margarine, melted - 1 c
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
- bag miniature marshmallows - 1 item
- flaked coconut optional - 1 c
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Frosting:1/2 c. margarine, melted1/3 c. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla6 Tbsp. milk1 lb. box powdered sugar1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix sugar, eggs and margarine. Cream well. Add vanilla, flour and cocoa. Mix until creamy. Add nuts and coconut (if desired). Bake until toothpick comes out clean. Add marshmallows on top and brown. Do not cool cake.Mix all frosting ingredients together. Spread on cake while it is still warm. (Do not remove cake from pan.)
