- eggs - 4 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- butter, melted - 1 c
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan. With electric mixer, beat sugar and butter together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine flour, cocoa and salt. Add to batter along with vanilla and nuts. Beat again. Turn batter into pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on rack.Mississippi Mud Icing:1 (1 lb.) box confectioners sugar1/3 c. cocoa1 c. butter, melted1 tsp. vanilla extract1 c. pecans, chopped Sift sugar and cocoa together.
