Mississippi mud
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- confectioners sugar
- unsifted flour
- margarine, softened - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- unsweetened cocoa - 1/4 c
- margarine
- chopped pecans optional - 1 c
- pecans optional - 1 item
- jar Marshmallow Creme Fluff - 1 oz
How to make mississippi mud:
Frosting:1/3 c. margarine1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa1/3 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla2 1/2 c. confectioners sugar pecans (optional) Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Beat together eggs, margarine, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour, cocoa and salt. Beat. Fold in optional pecans. Spread in pan. Bake 45 minutes. Immediately, while hot, spread Marshmallow Creme on cake. Let cool 1 hour before frosting.Frosting: Melt margarine in saucepan. Stir in cocoa. Cook 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add rest of frosting ingredients except pecans. Spread frosting over cooled marshmallow. Cut into 1-inch squares when cool. Decorate with 1 whole pecan (or half) on top of each.
