Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • chopped nuts
  • flour
  • evaporated milk - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • confectioners sugar - 1 lb
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • flaked coconut
  • margarine
  • jar marshmallow cream - 1 oz

How to make mississippi mud:

Icing:1/2 c. margarine1 lb. confectioners sugar1/2 c. cocoa1/2 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla Cream the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add cocoa, eggs and vanilla; beat thoroughly. Add flour alternately with coconut, mixing well. Add nuts; beat 2 minutes. Pour into greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven; immediately spread marshmallow cream over surface. Cool in pan on rack.

Icing: Cream the margarine. Add confectioners sugar and cocoa; mix well. Add evaporated milk and vanilla; beat well. Frost cooled cake. Cut into 45 squares.
