- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1 c
- water - 1 to
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- vegetable oil
- In a large mixer bowl, beat shortening and sugar until fluffy
How to make mincemeat cookies:
Preheat oven to 375°. In a large mixer bowl, beat shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to first mixture. Mix well. Stir in mincemeat. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Frost, if desired. Makes 6 dozen.Icing:2 1/4 c. xxxx sugar2 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil1 1/2 to 3 Tbsp. water1/4 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt Beat xxxx sugar, oil, water, vanilla and salt until smooth. Add water to thin.
