Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- molasses - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1 lb
- allspice - 1/4 tsp
- ground cloves - 3/4 tsp
- chopped apples - 3 qt
- brandy - 1 c
- currants - 1 lb
- sweet cider - 2 c
- beef, chopped fine - 2 lb
How to make mincemeat:
Cook all together (except brandy) for 1 hour, then add brandy. Best if let set in refrigerator a few days. Makes about 4 quarts.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Beef.
