Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- chicken broth
- mayonnaise - 1/4 c
- potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
- medium size onion, sliced thin - 1 item
How to make microwave scalloped potatoes:
Melt butter in shallow 2-quart microwave-safe dish. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add broth until blended. Microwave, uncovered, on High for 4 to 4 1/2 minutes until thickened. Stir once. Stir in mayonnaise. Gently stir in potatoes and onion to coat. Cover with lid and microwave 16 to 18 minutes. Rotate dish 1/4 turn twice until potatoes in center are tender.
