Microwave caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- peanuts optional
- popped corn 1/2 c - 3 qt
How to make microwave caramel corn:
Pop corn in air popper. Place popcorn and peanuts in double brown grocery bag; set aside. Combine sugar, butter, syrup and salt in glass bowl. Microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after each minute, until mixture boils. Microwave 2 minutes more. Stir in soda. Pour syrup mixture over popcorn in bag. Close bag; shake well. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes on High; shake. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes on High; shake. Pour into roasting pan. Cool to separate.Recipe categories: Desserts, Microwave, Candy.
