Microwave caramel corn



  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • light corn syrup - 1/4 c
  • margarine 1 stick - 1/2 c
  • unpopped popcorn - 2/3 1

How to make microwave caramel corn:

Pop corn. Place in big brown paper bag. In large glass microwavable bowl, place all ingredients, except baking soda, which goes in after coating is cooked. Place in microwave for 5 minutes. Stir after 2 1/2 minutes, then finish cooking. After 5 minutes is up, stir in 1 teaspoon baking soda immediately. Stir quickly, it may foam up, this is okay. When completely stirred in, pour over popped corn and stir in. Place brown bag in microwave for 1 minute. Stir and then cool.
