Microwave candy bar fudge
Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 1/2 c
- cocoa powder - 1/3 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- powdered sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- vanilla caramels - 30 item
- unsalted peanuts - 2 c
- semi-sweet chocolate pieces - 1/2 c
- chocolate pieces - 1/2 c
How to make microwave candy bar fudge:
Line 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan with foil, extending over edges; set aside. Microwave margarine on 100% power for 1 to 2 minutes or until melted. Stir in cocoa, sugar and milk. Cook, uncovered, on High for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil, stirring once. Stir again. Cook for 1 minute more. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread in pan.In glass bowl, combine caramels and 1 tablespoon water. Cook, uncovered, on 50% power for 4 to 5 minutes or until melted, stirring once. Stir in nuts; spread over fudge. In a 2-cup glass measure, cook chocolate on Medium (50%) for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes or until melted, stirring once. Spread on top of caramel. Chill until firm. Remove from pan; cut into squares. Makes 64 pieces. Serve at room temperature. Store in refrigerator.
