Mexicana rice
Ingredients/Components
- chopped green onions - 1 c
- chopped bell pepper - 1/2 c
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- cooked white rice - 3 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- small curd cottage cheese - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
- seasoned pepper - 3/4 tsp
- can chopped green chilies - 1 oz
- grated sharp cheese - 1 c
- paprika - 1 item
How to make mexicana rice:
Saute onions and bell pepper in margarine. Remove from heat; combine with remaining ingredients, except paprika. Toss lightly to mix and pour into a greased casserole dish. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Garnish with paprika. One cup chopped ham can be added to make a main dish.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Time to make, Side dish.
