Mexican stuffed shells



  • water - 1/2 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • can French fried onions - 1 item
  • grated Monterey Jack cheese - 1 c
  • can diced green chilies - 1 oz
  • jar medium picante sauce - 1 oz
  • pasta stuffing shells, cooked and drained - 12 item

How to make mexican stuffed shells:

Brown beef and drain. Combine picante sauce, water and tomato sauce. Stir in ??? cup mixture into ground beef along with chilies, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 can French fried onions. Mix well. Pour half of remaining sauce mixture on bottom of 10-inch round dish. Stuff cooked shells with beef mixture. Arrange shells in baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over shells. Bake, covered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake uncovered 5 minutes longer. Yields 6 servings.
