Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- 4 oz - 1 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can chopped green chilies, drained - 1 oz
- can Durkee French fried onions - 1 item
- jar mild picante sauce - 1 oz
- pasta stuffing shells, cooked and drained - 12 item
How to make mexican stuffed shells:
Brown ground beef; drain. Combine picante sauce, water and tomato sauce. Stir 1/2 cup ground beef along with chilies, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 can of onions. Mix well. Pour half of remaining sauce mixture on bottom of 10-inch round dish. Stuff cooked shells with ground beef mixture. Arrange shells in baking dish; pour remaining sauce over shells. Bake covered at 350° for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onion. Bake uncovered for 5 minutes longer.Recipe categories: Side dish, Beef, Pasta shells.
