Mexican rice
Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 c
- oil - 2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- tomato sauce - 1/2 c
- chicken bouillon cubes - 3 item
- chopped green onion - 1/4 item
- rice - 1 c
- cumin - 2 tsp
- large garlic clove, minced - 1 item
How to make mexican rice:
Add oil, celery, onion, green pepper, garlic and cumin to 12-inch skillet. Saute over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until rice is browned. Remove from heat. Combine water and bouillon in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add to rice mixture; stir in tomato sauce. Heat just until mixture simmers. Cover and continue to simmer 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, 10 minutes before serving.Recipe categories: Side dish, Cheese, Rice.
