Mexican flan
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 8 item
- granulated sugar - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- light brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cans evaporated milk - 2 oz
- vanilla or brandy - 2 tsp
How to make mexican flan:
Preheat oven to 350°. Beat eggs with rotary beater until egg yolks and whites are well blended. Add granulated sugar and salt. Mix well. Beat in two cans evaporated milk and add the vanilla. Put brown sugar in bottom of loaf pan and pour the custard gently into loaf pan over it. Place in shallow baking pan container hot water, but not boiling. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean. Do not cover. Refrigerate overnight. Before serving, run a knife around the edge of pan and turn out onto a small platter.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Egg.
