  • flour - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • cornmeal - 1 c
  • Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
  • bacon grease - 1/2 c
  • 2 can corn
  • sweet milk - 1 c
  • jalapeno peppers, chopped - 3 item
  • Additional Ingredients:1 large onion

How to make mexican cornbread:

Additional Ingredients:1 large onion1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese3 jalapeno peppers, chopped Combine meal mixture ingredients. Grease skillet and heat. Sprinkle with meal. Pour in one-half of mixture and then spread on cheese, onion and peppers, then add remaining meal mixture. Bake at 400° until done.
