Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- hamburger - 1 lb
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- yellow corn meal - 1 c
- cheese, grated - 1 lb
- bacon drippings - 1/2 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix cornmeal, milk, salt, corn, eggs, soda and bacon drippings. Saute meat; drain well. Pour 1/2 batter in greased pan. Sprinkle following ingredients in order: cheese, meat, onions and peppers.
